The Millennial KINGDOM on Earth   6 / 2010

Daniel 7:9-10 “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.”

   a) This poses the question, Who IS the Ancient of Days? Verse 13 seems to also call the Father by that same name!

   b) See my article: “  Who Is the Ancient of Days?”   for an explanation of this seeming paradox.

   c) John 5:22 tells us that all judgment is committed unto the Son!

   d) Thrones being cast down is the trigger event for the establishment of this “Kingdom”. Where are these thrones?

   e) This corresponds with Revelation 20:12, indicating the period of ‘evaluation’ toward judgment.

Daniel 7:14 “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” (Compare Isa. 9:6-7)

   a) This One being given a Kingdom and Glory apparently didn’t have it before a certain point in time. (Mt. 28:18)

   b) That Kingdom is to involve all people, nations and languages. Where are there to be ‘nations’?

   c) Once established, this Kingdom is to be perpetual and permanent!

Daniel 7:18 “But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.”

   a) This Kingdom will be inherited by God’s True Saints, not any others. (See Dan. 2:44)

Daniel 7:27 “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”

   a) This Kingdom will be UNDER Heaven (Is that referring to Heaven’s authority or Heaven’s locale?)

   b) What does ‘all dominions’ mean? Are there to be sub-governments under a ‘major’ dominion?

Daniel 2:34-35 “Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.”

   a) Who is represented by this ‘stone cut without hands’?

   b) The moment of impact on the feet of this image identifies a certain moment in time.

   c) This ‘great mountain’ (Kingdom) will fill the whole earth. It will be   on earth  !

Daniel 2:44-45 “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.”

   a) These kings refers to the same kings pictured by the ten toes in Daniel 2:34

   b) The God of Heaven is whom?

   c) Who are these ‘other people’ who the Kingdom will not be left to? The people we have now?

   d) These ‘other kingdoms’ are found where? Here on earth?

Isaiah 9:6-7 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” (see Ezek 37:24)

   a) This is a tough one for many believers. The Son is to be called “The Mighty God”! (also Rev. 11:17)

   b) His government is to become permanent, is to be built upon the dynasty of King David of Israel.

   c) The Mighty God, the Prince of Peace is to be a descendant of David. (See Mt. 1:1, Mt. 22:43-45, Jn. 7:42, etc.)

   d) This Kingdom will be also encompass the resurrected and restored kingdom of David. (See Ezek. 37)

Revelation 5:9-10 “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

   a) Those ‘redeemed by the blood’ are to become the kings and priests of this coming Kingdom.

   b) The reign of these is to be over the nations ‘on the earth’!

Revelation 11:15-18 Announcing the time of the LORD’s take-over of the earth: “And the seventh angel sounded; (the Last Trump!) and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.”

   a) There is to be a specific point in time when this Kingdom is to begin, which is on this earth.

   b) This ‘last trump’ is the event described in 1st Cor. 15:50-54 & 1st Thess. 4:15-17.

   c) The theater of His domain will be to take power over the pre-existing ‘kingdoms of the earth’.

   d) Christ is to be the Lord of this Kingdom.

   e) The twenty four Elders in Heaven refer to Christ as “Lord God Almighty”, who then assumes full power.

   f) When this happens is where pre-existing nations can respond expressing their anger at having been taken over!

   g) It will see the wrath of God brought upon the living rebellious,

   h) It will see the receipt of ‘just judgment’ (rewards) provided to the Saints, living and dead, (Rev.2:26)

   i) It will rectify the activities of those who ‘destroy’ due to their misguided beliefs and misconduct.

Revelation 19:14-16 “And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

   a) Heaven’s angelic armies accompany the conquering King of Kings. Their mounts and uniforms brilliant white!

   b) The nations on earth are to be conquered and ruled righteously.

   c) All resistance is to be overwhelmed. (The only place physical beings can resist is here on earth.)

   d) How could these nations needing correction be ruled anywhere else than here on earth?

   e) Is God the Father ever called “King of kings and Lord of lords”?

Revelation 20:2-3 “And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

   a) Nations (the subjects of the millennial Kingdom) remain otherwise deceivable on earth for these 1000 years!

   b) What is the point of Satan’s release after the 1000 years to go abroad and deceive these existing nations?

   c) This positively illustrates that free moral agency will exist during the millennial age.

Revelation 20:4 & 6 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

   a) Martyrs will have a special place in God’s Kingdom: They administer the evaluative ‘judgment’ under Christ,

   b) The duration of this arrangement is to begin with that 1000 years,

   c) These first resurrected Saints will become the “Priests of God and Christ” reigning with Him for the 1000 years,

   d) Their administration will take on a new expanded dimension with the ‘second resurrection’ as the 1000 years ends,

   e) Request the 96-page booklet “  Understanding the Resurrections and Eternal Judgment”   for a full explanation.

The World Scene After the Second Coming and During the Millennial KINGDOM on Earth.

Matthew 19:28 “Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

   a) ‘In the regeneration’ refers to that period of time after the first resurrection,

   b) The Son of man (Christ) will be enthroned in His Throne on earth, (a Throne distinct from the Father’s)

   c) The original Apostles wall each head one of the nations of Israel who have descended from the 12 tribes.

Isaiah 65:16-25 “For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

   a) Jerusalem will be the capitol of a new world, the center of a joyfulness unknown in any previous age,

   b) The people shall all live fullfilled lives, up to the century mark before their deaths,

   c) These will be regarded as the children of Christ and His Bride (the seed of the blessed) (see Rev.21:7 & 22:17),

   d) These alive in this period will be having children themselves,

   e) God will be attentive to any call upon Him and will answer instantly, almost before the words are uttered,

   f) There will be animals living, with their predatory natures changed.

Isaiah 66:14-24 “And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. … I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

  a) Christ will intervene and plead with all nations, slaying those who will not repent, (Luke 19:27)

  b) The world will be evangelized of the True God, including previously uninformed places,

  c) The scattered physical Israelites will be repatriated,

  d) The religious system will be restored to the physical nation of Israel,

  e) All nations will worship before the True God on each annual (in their proper months) and weekly Sabbaths.

Zechariah 8:3-8 “Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

  a) Christ will return to Mount Zion (Jerusalem) and dwell there,

  b) The area will be known as ‘the Holy Mountain of the LORD’,

  c) The whole society will be a culture of peace and safety,

  d) The LORD will dwell among His people there in Jerusalem and be their God.

Ezekiel 36:1-38 “Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD: … Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, …Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. … Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, … thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

  a) The LORD will work on behalf of His people and will repatriate them into their former occupied lands,

  b) The heathen shall unquestioningly KNOW who the LORD is at that point in time,

  c) These physical peoples of God then will be forgiven and given new hearts and an ability to receive His Spirit,

  d) Destroyed cities shall be re-built, with spectacular results.

Zechariah 14:4-21 “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. … and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
… And it shall be in that day, that
living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. … And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowl's before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.”

  a) ‘In that day’ refers to the ‘Second Coming’, when Christ will again set foot upon the earth, (Acts 1:10-11)

  b) All the Saints will be brought with Him, (including those resurrected in the first resurrection),

  c) There will be impressive geographical changes on the east and south sides of Jerusalem,

  d) The New Temple will outpour waters from the Altar that will become as a river, (see Ezekiel 47)

  e) The LORD (Christ) will be King over all the Earth,

  f) The nations will all be ‘invited’ to be represented annually to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

2nd Timothy 4:1 & 18 “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; … And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

  a) The Kingdom is something which shall appear at and after Christ’s return,

  b) Timothy recognized the need for preservation unto the Kingdom, that he wasn’t in it in his lifetime,

  c) The Kingdom is an intrinsic part of the judgment process. (Which is begun with the Church) (1st Pet.4:17)
