The Millennial KINGDOM on Earth
6/2010
Daniel
7:9-10 I beheld till the thrones were cast
down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment
was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure
wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as
burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from
before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten
thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment
was set, and the books were opened.
a) This poses the question, Who IS the Ancient of Days? Verse 13 seems to also call the Father by that same name!
b) See my article: “Who Is the Ancient of Days?” for an explanation of this seeming paradox.
c) John 5:22 tells us that all judgment is committed unto the Son!
d) Thrones being cast down is the trigger event for the establishment of this “Kingdom” Where are these thrones?
e) This corresponds with Revelation 20:12, indicating the period of ‘evaluation’ toward judgment.
Daniel 7:14 And
there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom,
that all people, nations, and languages, should serve
him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall
not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be
destroyed.
a) This One being given a Kingdom and Glory apparently didn’t have it before a certain point in time. (Mt. 28:18)
b) That Kingdom is to involve all people, nations and languages. Where are there to be ‘nations’?
c) Once established, this Kingdom is to be permanent!
Daniel 7:18 But
the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom,
and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and
ever.
a) This Kingdom will be inherited by God’s True Saints, not any others. (See Dan. 2:44)
Daniel 7:27 And
the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom
under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the
saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an
everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey
him.
a) This Kingdom will be UNDER Heaven (Is that referring to Heaven’s authority or Heaven’s locale?)
b) What does ‘all dominions’ mean? Are there to be sub-governments under a ‘major’ dominion?
Daniel 2:34-35
Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without
hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of
iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron,
the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to
pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer
threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no
place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image
became a great mountain, and filled the whole
earth.
a) Who is represented by this ‘stone cut without hands’?
b) The moment of impact on the feet of this image identifies a certain moment in time.
c) This ‘great mountain’ (Kingdom) will fill the whole earth. It will be on earth!
Daniel 2:44-45
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up
a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the
kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it
shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it
shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the
stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it
brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver,
and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what
shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and
the interpretation thereof sure.
a) These kings refers to the same kings pictured by the ten toes in Daniel 2:34
b) The God of Heaven is whom?
c) Who are these ‘other people’ who the Kingdom will not be left to? The people we have now?
d) These ‘other kingdoms’ are found where? Here on earth?
Isaiah 9:6-7 For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the
government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be
called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the
increase of his government and peace there shall be no
end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to
order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice
from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts
will perform this. (see
Ezek 37:24)
a) This is a tough one for many believers. The Son is to be called “The Mighty God”!
b) His government is to become permanent, is to be built upon the dynasty of King David of Israel.
c) The Mighty God, the Prince of Peace is to be a descendant of David. (See Mt. 1:1, Mt. 22:43-45, Jn. 7:42, etc.)
d) This Kingdom will be also built (piggybacked) upon the restored kingdom of David. (See Ezek. 37)
Revelation
5:9-10 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou
art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof:
for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood
out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and
nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and
priests: and we shall reign on the
earth.
a) Those ‘redeemed’ by the blood are to become the kings and priests of this coming Kingdom.
b) The reign of these is to be ‘on the earth’!
Revelation
11:15-18 And the seventh angel sounded; and
there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of
this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his
Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the
four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats,
fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, We
give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast,
and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great
power, and hast reigned. And the nations were
angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward
unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints,
and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest
destroy them which destroy the earth.
a) There is to be a point in time when this Kingdom is to begin.
b) The theater of His domain will be the pre-existing ‘kingdoms of the earth’.
c) Christ is to be the Lord of this Kingdom.
d) The twenty four Elders in Heaven refer to Christ as “Lord God Almighty”, who then assumes full power.
e) Where this happens is where pre-existing nations can respond expressing their anger at having been taken over!
Revelation
19:14-16 And the armies which were in
heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine
linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a
sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he
shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the
winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty
God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name
written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
a) Heaven’s armies accompany the conquering King of Kings. Their mounts and uniforms brilliant white!
b) The nations on earth are to be conquered and ruled.
c) All resistance is to be overwhelmed. (The only place physical beings can resist is here on earth.)
d) How could these nations needing correction be ruled anywhere else than here on earth?
e) Is the Father ever called “King of kings and Lord of lords”?
Revelation
20:2-3 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old
serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a
thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit,
and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should
deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years
should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a
little season.
a) Nations (the subjects of the millennial Kingdom) remain deceivable on earth for these 1000 years!
b) What is the point of Satan’s release after the 1000 years to go abroad and deceive these nations?
Revelation 20:4 &
6 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them
that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word
of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his
image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or
in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not
again until the thousand years were finished. This is the
first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath
part in the first resurrection: on such the second
death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of
Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years.
a) Martyrs will have a special place in God’s Kingdom: They administer the evaluative ‘judgment’ under Christ.
b) The duration of this arrangement is to begin with that 1000 years.
c) These special individuals will become the “Priests of God and Christ” reigning with Him for the 1000 years.
d) Their administration will take on a new dimension with the ‘second resurrection’ as the 1000 years ends.
e) Request the booklet “Understanding the Resurrections and Eternal Judgment” for a full explanation.
